Job description

Job Summary: The School of Journalism and Communication is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach Communication courses, in particular the COMM 135 Communication and Public Speaking course. We are looking for dedicated, dependable, Christian individuals who love students and love teaching and preferably have some teaching experience.
Job Duties:
  • Prepare instructional materials and instructs students in Speech or other Communication courses
  • Perform duties associated with instructing and assessing student progress in a timely manner, including grading and required record keeping based on university guidelines
  • Use strong organizational and time management skills to teach well-prepared classes
  • Mentor and nurture students with a compassionate Christlike spirit for the purpose of supporting and encouraging them academically and spiritually

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Communication or Journalism
Salary Schedule: Salary is based upon a per course fee as determined by the University. No benefits are offered for this position.
Special Instructions to Applicants: Unofficial transcripts should be from the college or university which verifies minimum qualifications for the position. Upon an offer of employment, official college transcripts will be required.
