Job description

FOX 2 / STL 11 News in St. Louis is searching for a dynamic, creative News Producer who can craft a compelling, engaging content that is urgent and relevant to our viewers. The ideal candidate is a works well in a team setting, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Find and evaluate daily news content for relevance and impact
  • Organize and craft content and rundowns using strong editorial and creative judgement
  • Effectively and efficiently manage time and workflow
  • Use skills to win weather and breaking/developing stories
  • Write and copy edit scripts
  • Request and create graphics
  • Work with news team on story selection and overall focus of content
  • Contribute to the daily editorial process
  • Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all platforms
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Key traits & competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or a related field
  • 3+ years producing or relevant work experience preferred
  • Strong news judgment and journalistic integrity
