Job description

Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) eager to make a meaningful impact within East and Northeast Houston schools. This contract position offers the chance to work across three dynamic campuses: Furr High School, Edison Middle School, and Holland Middle School. If you’re passionate about supporting student communication and eager to step into school-based practice, this is the ideal role for you.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLPA license (must have licensure at the time of application; no supervision hours provided)
  • Previous experience as an SLPA in a K–12 school setting
  • Ability to work on-site and reliably commute to all three designated campuses
  • Strong commitment to collaborative work with students, teachers, and speech-language pathologists
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized communication goals
  • Document session notes and student progress accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with educational teams to support student success in diverse learning environments
  • Maintain compliance with school and district policies as well as state licensure requirements
  • Facilitate generalization of speech-language skills throughout the school day

Additional Details:

  • Start as soon as possible and support students through late May 2027
  • Laptop purchase is required; reimbursement will be provided to cover this expense
