Job description

Make an impact on students’ communication skills by taking on an exciting contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant school setting. As a valued member of the educational team, you’ll support licensed speech-language pathologists and help children reach their full potential. This role is perfect for professionals who are passionate about speech and language interventions, interested in working closely with educators and families, and ready to bring their dynamic skill set to a supportive environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program (or similar)
  • Current SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
  • Experience working with children or in educational environments preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting student progress

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist speech-language pathologists in providing direct speech and language therapy to students under supervision
  • Implement therapy activities according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Track and report student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Support data collection and progress monitoring in collaboration with supervising SLPs
  • Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment for students to develop communication abilities
