Job description


Radiology Technologist

Under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of department leadership, this position competently performs imaging on all general radiographic equipment and is provided the opportunity and encouragement to expand their skill sets. Must have the ability to recognize general radiography anatomy. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.

Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have completed an approved and accredited Radiology Technology program.

Minimum Work Experience

  • Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
  • Digital Imaging and post-processing PACS experience
  • Portable and in department fluoroscopy procedures
  • Operating Room procedures

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Current state R.T. license required.
  • ARRT Certified
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
  • Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two-year period, for re-certification and licensure.
  • Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification *

*Must obtain within 3 months of hire.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Willingness to accommodate scheduling flexibility to support staffing patterns that meet patient flow.
  • Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
  • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.

Pay Range = $32.15 - $46.84
