Job description

Job Opportunity: General Radiologist

Our organization, located in Spartanburg, SC, is actively looking for a FULL-TIME board-certified or board-eligible general radiologist to become a part of our hospital-employed practice, MGC - Radiology. We are recognized as a Level 1 Trauma Center, a tertiary referral facility, and a community teaching hospital serving the Upstate region of South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a mix of routine and urgent general diagnostic radiology imaging.
  • Provide both onsite and remote coverage to support our five-campus health system.
  • Maintain an average schedule of two days per week onsite and three days per week remotely.
  • Handle swing and weekend shifts remotely.
  • Participate in a radiologist-led practice with a history of no turnover since its establishment.
  • No specific MRI or CT work required.
  • Engage in general radiology fluoroscopy with assistance from a Nurse Practitioner; no needle-directed procedures involved.
Compensation and Work Conditions:
  • Compensation is based on an RVU model, ensuring equal workload and daily RVU totals across all shifts.
  • Receive additional hourly compensation for weekend shifts.
  • Teleradiology coverage is available for night shifts starting at 7 PM.
  • Call and weekend duties are shared fairly among radiologists.

  • Utilize Change Healthcare PACS and PowerScribe One VR Dictation.
  • Full integration with EPIC EMR.
