Contract Term: 12 months with possible extension

Tasks / Deliverables
Summary of Role
The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist will provide expert support in planning, developing, and maintaining logistics solutions for Defence systems, ensuring system supportability, reliability, and sustainability. The resource will integrate ILS requirements with system design, conduct analyses, prepare documentation, and manage contract deliverables to optimize lifecycle performance within cost constraints.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs) aligned with program requirements.
  • Write system design specifications and requirements statements, liaising with stakeholders to ensure ILS integration with other system functions.
  • Design ILS solutions to achieve supportability and sustainability targets, including cost/value optimization.
  • Conduct reliability and maintainability (R&M) analyses and system availability assessments.
  • Participate in training needs analyses and develop associated support plans.
  • Identify Initial Support Packages, including spare parts, special tools, and technical documentation requirements.
  • Draft correspondence and provide recommendations on the acceptance or rejection of deliverables.
  • Prepare Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).
  • Conduct Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) to ensure system conformity and readiness.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to program teams and stakeholders on ILS integration and support strategies.
Requirements
  • Security Clearance: Must be eligible for Secret level Federal Security Clearance (generally requires 10 years of residence in Canada)
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Education:
    • Undergraduate or Post-Graduate degree in Management Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related Logistics Support field (preferred), OR
    • Alternatively, an Undergraduate degree in any discipline or a College diploma in Management Science, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Must have 36 months experience in the last 72 months providing 8 of the following:
    • Maintaining Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP)
    • Writing system design specifications and liaising with stakeholders for ILS integration
    • Designing ILS solutions to achieve supportability and sustainability requirements
    • Conducting reliability and maintainability analyses
    • Conducting system availability analyses
    • Participating in training needs analyses
    • Identifying Initial Support Packages (spares, tools, documentation)
    • Drafting correspondence and making recommendations on deliverables
    • Preparing CDRLs and DIDs
    • Conducting Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role.
