Summary

The Data Analyst III supports operations and conducts data analytics projects to provide information and insights for decision-making or solution development. Implements data standards and deploys automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform data into usable metrics. Essential Requirements
  • The ability to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the DoD Secret level, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud computing is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience coding in Stata, R, or SAS at an advanced or expert level, including experience building reproducible workflows, automating analyses, and optimizing performance for large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Stata is preferred.
  • A strong background in health economics, epidemiology, public health, applied statistics, or a related field is required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Designs and implements automated data pipelines and ETL processes to streamline data collection and integration from multiple sources.
  • Executes complex statistical analyses and machine learning algorithms to derive actionable insights and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborates with IT and data engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure and ensure scalability and reliability of analytics solutions.
  • Leads the creation of interactive dashboards and personalized reports for various business units, utilizing advanced data visualization tools.
  • Formulates and implements data analytics policies and standards to ensure consistency and accuracy across all organizational data activities.
  • Evaluates and adopts emerging analytical tools and technologies to continually advance the organization's analytical capabilities.
  • Utilizes scripting and querying tools like Python, R, or SQL, data visualization/BI tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files, and dashboards.
  • Merges data from multiple files, clean and manipulate observational data for research use, and prepare comprehensive summary tables.
Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree in health economics, epidemiology, public health, applied statistics, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience coding in Stata, R, or SAS at an advanced or expert level, including experience building reproducible workflows, automating analyses, and optimizing performance for large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Stata is preferred.
  • Experience working with medical records and/or data from the Military Health System (MHS) is desired.
Physical Demands

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit.
