Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Director of Sales — DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans Airport

Full‑Service Hilton | High‑Volume Airport Market | Senior Leadership Role

Location: Kenner, LA

Employment Type: Full‑Time | Exempt

Lead the Charge at One of New Orleans’ Most Dynamic Full‑Service Hotels

The DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans Airport isn’t a quiet property — it’s a high‑energy, high‑volume, full‑service hotel in one of the most competitive airport markets in the South. Corporate travelers, airline crews, sports groups, conventions, government, associations — this hotel sees it all.

We’re searching for a fearless, relationship‑driven, strategy‑obsessed Director of Sales who knows how to dominate a market, build powerful partnerships, and lead a sales team with integrity and fire.

If you thrive on winning business, building influence, and being the face of a major Hilton property, this is your stage.

What You’ll Own

This isn’t a “manage the inbox” sales job. This is a take‑the‑wheel, drive‑the‑strategy, own‑the‑market leadership role.

You will:

  • Command the sales strategy across corporate, group, airline, government, SMERF, and association segments
  • Build a pipeline that never sleeps through off‑site sales calls, client visits, and community presence
  • Lead a high‑performing sales team with clarity, accountability, and integrity
  • Represent the DoubleTree brand at trade shows, industry events, and major networking opportunities
  • Partner with Revenue Management to maximize group blocks, pricing, and total hotel revenue
  • Build long‑term relationships with meeting planners, corporate decision‑makers, and key market influencers
  • Drive forecasting, budgeting, and competitive analysis with precision

This role is for someone who loves the chase, loves the close, and loves leading people to big wins.

What You Bring

You’re not new to this. You’re a seasoned hotel sales leader who knows how to move a full‑service property forward.

You have:

  • 3–5+ years of hotel sales leadership experience (full‑service or high‑volume required)
  • A proven track record in corporate, group, and airline/airport segments
  • Strong forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities
  • Valid driver’s license, clean MVR, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance
  • The ability to travel locally for sales calls, client meetings, and community events
  • Flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends for events or client needs
  • Hilton system experience (Delphi, CI/TY, OnQ) is a plus

You lead with integrity, you operate with urgency, and you show up with presence.

What You Get

  • Competitive salary + performance‑based bonus
  • Full benefits package
  • Hilton travel perks
  • Career growth within A&R Hospitality Group
  • A leadership seat at a high‑visibility, high‑impact hotel

This is a role where your work is seen, your wins matter, and your leadership shapes the hotel’s future.

Ready to Own the Market?

If you’re a bold, strategic, people‑focused sales leader ready to elevate a full‑service Hilton property, we want to talk.

Apply today and bring your drive to the DoubleTree New Orleans Airport.
