To thrive as a Professor, you need advanced subject-matter expertise, a doctoral degree (typically a PhD), and a strong record of research and teaching. Effective time management and setting clear priorities are crucial for maintaining productivity in both research and teaching. This balance also provides opportunities for career advancement, as success in both areas is often considered for promotions.
