Job description

The Department of Urology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking a full-time faculty member.  

We are seeking a mid-career urologist specializing in Urologic Reconstructive and Pelvic Surgery (URPS) / Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) to advance the care of women with complex urologic conditions. The candidate will lead the growth of a comprehensive program in female urology, integrating clinical care, research, and education, while mentoring trainees and junior faculty. This position carries a dual appointment with the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, with expectations to work collaboratively with the Division of Urogynecology to develop joint initiatives.

The position will include an appointment in the Department of Urology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine as an Associate Professor or Professor in the appointment stream.  Candidates at the Associate Professor level should have 6 - 9 years of experience, and at the Professor level, 10 years of experience.  The candidate must have an M.D. in Urology with appropriate board certification/eligibility; experience in a large hospital service is beneficial.  Eligibility for medical licensure to practice in Pennsylvania is required.
