Job Summary/Basic Function
SUMMARY:
The Assistant/Associate Professor is expected to provide students instruction, advising, curriculum development, program design, and lead/conduct research activities including published articles/books.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Teach courses as assigned. The minimum teaching load is twenty-four credit hours annually. Courses are delivered face-to-face, online, and hybrid.
  • Maintain required office hours and provide academic advisement to assigned students.
  • Participate in the development, review and improvement of curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental, college-wide, university-wide, committees and activities.
  • Serve as faculty advisor for a student organization.
  • Work collaboratively with other faculty on schedule development, marketing events, student and faculty recruitment, retention efforts, and other departmental or college-wide activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in accounting with industry experience and/or CPA, CMA certification.
  • Considerable professional experience in the discipline at a high managerial or supervisory level.
  • Commitment to teaching excellence, innovative curriculum development, and academic advising for students in the college.
  • Willingness to teach at both the main campus and the CSU Dayton location.
  • Demonstrate potential for developing publishable research.
  • Experience and interest in teaching students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Ability to use technology in instruction and advising.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or earned doctorate in related discipline.
  • Experience in developing and teaching online courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate grant proposals.
  • A record of published research in peer-reviewed journals.
