Your workday will begin with pre-trip inspections, reviewing your route and customer invoices, and confirming your vehicle meets all DOT safety requirements. Once on the road, you'll safely and efficiently complete your Friday and Saturday deliveries while providing outstanding customer service and representing Upper Lakes Foods with professionalism at every stop.Unloading products with precision using a two-wheeler and organizing them in designated storage areas will be part of your routine. Your post-trip duties will include managing damaged goods, paperwork, and performing vital safety checks on your vehicle. You'll also fuel up and secure the tractor/trailer, keeping our operations running smoothly. A year of experience in a transportation role is preferred and food product delivery experience is a plus, but we’ll happily train the right candidate.You must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A and demonstrate solid math skills to handle customer transactions accurately. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English is essential for safety compliance. A working knowledge of GPS and routing software will help you navigate efficiently. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to adapt communication styles are vital, as is a willingness to work in various weather conditions while adhering to safety regulations.Being physically fit to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and manage up to 350-500 pounds with a two-wheel cart is also crucial.
