Title: Senior Accountant/Controller
Jones Legacy Ventures
Reports To: CFO
General Summary of the Position:
This position will assist CFO in daily accounting responsibilities which include reviewing A/P, A/R, Payroll, Insurance, G/L functions and reconciliations. Will need to learn the various businesses which comprise the Jones Legacy Ventures in order to identify financial improvements from both an operations and financial structure perspective. The candidate will need to have the ability and potential to grow into the CFO role in the future.
Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for general ledger account review and analysis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Prepare various general ledger journal entries.
  • Review/research financial data.
  • Review A/P, A/R, Payroll responsibilities.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • BS degree in Accounting.
  • 5 plus years of accounting or finance experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Good leadership skills
