PRIMARY PURPOSE:

   

The Game Worker works at district athletic events. Duties include selling tickets, taking tickets, assisting at the press box, scorekeeping, timing of events, announcing, and other duties as assigned by the Game Manager.  Must be available to work on a part-time, as-needed basis with short notice of assignments.

   

QUALIFICATIONS:

   

Education/Certification:

 
  • High school diploma or GED
 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

 
  1. Following directions on the task to be completed. Specific to each event/game.
  2. Communication with parties involved (i.e. parents, players, students, school staff, etc.).
  3. Reporting hours worked through event/game coordinator.
  4. Following BISD and school regulations and policies.
 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work with frequent interruptions
 

Physical Demands

 
  • Light lifting and carrying, reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, repetitive hand motions; frequent bending and stooping
  • Prolonged use of computer

  • Normal office environment
  • Exposure to childhood communicable diseases; good general health and stamina needed
