As a Dietitian, you willย be responsible forย all patient care activities related to nutrition. This role includes assessing patientsโ nutritional needs,ย developingย and implementing individualized nutrition care plans, and evaluating and monitoring outcomesย in accordance withย the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) evidence-based guidelines.ย
The Dietitianย establishesย goals to provideย optimalย nutrition care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include conductingย accurateย assessments and providing recommendations for patients requiring enteral or parenteral nutrition, in alignment with ASPEN guidelines.ย
The role also involves delivering comprehensive nutrition education to patients on a variety of nutrition-related topics. In this role, the Dietitian will work with both surgical and nonsurgical patients in collaboration with the bariatric and weight management team. Key responsibilities include pre-surgery nutrition assessments, post-surgery dietary management, nutritional monitoring, complication prevention, and long-term nutritional support.ย
This role is split between acute care responsibilities and the bariatric and weight management clinic, with a focus onย maintainingย high-quality care by overseeing all aspects of patientsโ nutrition and dietary needs.ย
This position may require occasional travel to the Waldorf weight management location. Limited remote work isย permitted; however, telehealth appointments are not included in this role. Performs other duties as assigned.ย
