Role- Senior AWS & Multi-Database Engineer

Location: Remote

We are seeking a Senior AWS & Multi-Database Engineer with deep expertise across AWS-managed database services as well as traditional and NoSQL platforms such as Oracle DB and MongoDB. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strategic problem solver, and forward-thinking technologist who thrives on optimizing data infrastructure for scale, performance, and reliability. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain AWS-managed and on-prem/cloud-hosted databases including: o Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, and Oracle engines) o Amazon DynamoDB o Amazon ElastiCache (Redis and Memcached) o Amazon DocumentDB and MongoDB o Amazon OpenSearch Service (formerly Elasticsearch Service) o Standalone Oracle Database environments • Manage RDS clusters, snapshots, and instances, ensuring data integrity, availability, and recovery readiness.
  • Architect, implement, and maintain database monitoring, automation, and scaling strategies using AWS-native and third-party tools.
  • Partner with engineering, DevOps, and analytics teams to deliver secure, highperforming, and cost-e icient database solutions.
  • Lead database migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning with minimal downtime.
  • Implement and optimize backup, replication, and sharding strategies for multiregion and high-throughput workloads.
  • Continuously assess emerging technologies and propose data modernization and optimization strategies. Required Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of experience managing production database systems in AWS and hybrid environments.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS services: o aws_rds_db_snapshot, aws_dynamodb, aws_rds_instance, aws_elasticache, aws_rds_cluster, aws_docdb_cluster, aws_elasticsearch_domain
  • Strong operational and tuning experience with Oracle Database and MongoDB.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and NoSQL data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Experience implementing high availability, replication, and disaster recovery configurations.
  • Skilled in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for provisioning and automation.
  • Familiarity with security best practices — encryption, IAM roles, VPC networking, and data access controls.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with a collaborative mindset. Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Certified Database – Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
  • Experience with MongoDB and Oracle DB
