DAY SHIFT JOB AD - Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Location: Decatur, Alabama

Pay: $28-$33/hr (based on experience)

Shift: Day Shift (starts around 6:00 AM)

United Trades of America is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join the night shift crew on an active industrial site in Decatur, AL. This position requires experience in real-time inspection during overnight operations and attention to detail under low-light conditions.


Requirements:

Valid AWS CWI Certification


3+ years of relevant experience


Strong knowledge of welding codes and WPS


Comfortable working night shifts on active job sites


Must pass a drug screen and background check


Responsibilities:

Conduct visual weld inspections overnight


Monitor compliance with project standards


Maintain detailed shift reports


Work directly with welders and supervisors to ensure quality and safety
