Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Logistician with a strong background in supporting government operations, including supply chain management, logistics planning, and lifecycle sustainment. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of federal logistics systems, procurement processes, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FAR/DFARS). This role will support the planning, implementation, and oversight of logistics operations across multiple programs or projects, ensuring efficient and compliant movement of materials, equipment, and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics activities in support of government contracts, programs, or agencies.
  • Develop and maintain logistics documentation such as logistics support plans, acquisition logistics documentation, supply support plans, and maintenance planning.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., DoD, DHS, GSA, etc.).
  • Analyze and forecast supply needs, manage inventories, and coordinate procurement and distribution of materials.
  • Utilize logistics management information systems (e.g., GCSS-Army, DLMS, FLIS, FEDLOG, PIEE/WAWF, or agency-specific systems).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, operations, finance, and project management.
  • Track and report on key logistics performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend process improvements.
  • Provide lifecycle logistics support, including provisioning, spare parts analysis, and obsolescence management.
  • Support audits, inspections, and data calls related to logistics operations.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of logistics experience in a government or defense-related environment.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant policies.
