They are seeking a senior telecommunications engineer to support Ribbon Federal Edge deployment, SIP interconnection engineering, and E-911 call routing support associated with Army Voice Modernization. This role supports mission-critical emergency communications integration between VMOD systems, DISA VISP, and Army PSAP environments.

Experience :
Key Competencies :
10+ years telecommunications engineering experience
5+ years VoIP / SIP engineering
Experience with:
Ribbon Communications / Sonus / Genband
Session Border Controllers
SIP signaling and interconnects
E-911 or PSAP integration
Active Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience
Required tools/systems/platforms/protocols/processes mastery :
Ribbon Communications / Sonus / Genband + Session Border Controllers (Admin level)
-> Gateway/SBC deployment, configuration, SIP interconnects, policy routing and operational troubleshooting for Federal Edge environments.
SIP signaling / VoIP engineering (Working level / intermediate)
-> SIP call‑flow design and interconnect/policy routing for emergency call delivery and PSAP integrations.
Wireshark (Advanced / power user)
-> Packet‑level SIP/VoIP and E‑911/NG911 call‑flow capture and analysis for troubleshooting, validation and readiness assessments.

MISSIONS
Telecommunications Engineering Support :
Support deployment and integration of Ribbon Federal Edge gateways.
Support engineering issue tracking and technical recommendations
Support SIP interconnection engineering and policy routing support.
Analyze and troubleshoot E-911 call flow issues.
Support deployment validation and readiness assessments.
Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Support connectivity among Federal Edge, VISP and Army PSAP systems.
Assist issue resolution affecting gateway deployment and performance.
Support technical coordination related to E-911 routing requirements.
Requirements
10+ years of hands‑on telecommunications engineering:
You led end‑to‑end deployments and integrations of gateway and network voice systems,
You owned engineering issue tracking,
You performed deployment validation and readiness assessments,
You identified technical risks and delivered mitigation plans.
And 5+ years VoIP / SIP engineering
Wireshark expertise
Solid exposure to Ribbon Communications / Sonus / Genband
Solid exposure to Session Border Controllers
Solid exposure to SIP signaling and interconnects
Solid exposure to E-911 or PSAP integration
You have Active Secret clearance
DISA VISP familiarity
Army VMOD experience
PSAP interconnection experience
Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE)
NG 911 Public Safety Communications background/ familiarity
