Job description

Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to join our organization. The position will be based in our Burien location in a Part-Time .8 FTE, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm


The Northwest Kidney Center Pharmacy is an outpatient retail-clinic pharmacy that provides pharmacy services and pharmaceutical care to chronic kidney disease patients, kidney dialysis patients, and kidney transplant patients.


Responsibilities:

  • The Clinical Pharmacist will fill and dispense prescriptions using sound professional judgment and clinical expertise.

  • In addition, the clinical pharmacist will provide medication counseling, medication reconciliation, Medication Therapy Management, and perform drug therapy monitoring to resolve medication-related problems and support optimal health outcomes.

  • The pharmacist will also provide drug information to dialysis clinic staff and providers.

  • In addition, the clinical pharmacist will assist in making business decisions and in the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, and be licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Washington

  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent retail or hospital pharmacy experience


Preferred qualifications:

  • Ambulatory care pharmacy experience and/or renal pharmacotherapy knowledge/experience
