Certified Nursing Assistant 8 hour shifts

Vered Healthcare Group is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team at our Nursing Home facility located in Dunedin, Florida. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our residents.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced CNA to work 8 hour shifts, including 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, and 11PM-7AM. The ideal candidate will have a valid CNA certification in the state of Florida, high school diploma or equivalent, and previous experience as a CNA in a long-term care or nursing home setting. You will be responsible for providing personalized care and emotional support to our residents, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, while promoting independence and preserving dignity.

  • Observe and report any changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional condition to the nursing staff, ensuring prompt attention to their needs.

  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, in accordance with facility protocols.

  • Assist in the administration of medications and treatments under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff.

  • Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meal planning, feeding, and monitoring dietary intake as directed.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of residents' rooms, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans, following established protocols and guidelines.

  • Foster positive and meaningful relationships with residents and their families, providing emotional support and companionship.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Florida.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience as a CNA in a long-term care or nursing home setting is preferred.

  • Knowledge of basic nursing principles and procedures, with a focus on geriatric care.

  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with the ability to provide personalized care and emotional support to residents.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.

  • Reliable, responsible, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
