Job description

Registered Nurse

This is an 8 hour position requiring a paired weekend Saturday and Sunday every other weekend. In a normal week, the RN would work Saturday and Sunday and then have 12 days off. The position is every other weekend, every other holiday. For holidays that do not fall on the weekend, the RN would be assigned the holiday where it fell in the week and be off the 8 hour weekend shift that fell in that week.

The registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population specific care in accordance with the BORN regulations and professional standards of care.

Education: Certificate/Diploma Nursing required and Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred.

Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required.

Experience: Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting/specialty area.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Uses the nursing process and evidence based practice to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care. Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, and co-workers. Assures quality of nursing practice through participation in performance improvement activities. Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information. Provides safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration. Coordinates and collaborates with other multidisciplinary team members to facilitate a comprehensive educational plan.
