Practicum Student - Children, Teens Site Request Job Description


Eddins Counseling & Therapy Group (ECG) in Central Houston, Texas, is an established outpatient group practice with locations in Houston Heights & Montrose neighborhoods. We offer counseling services for children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

We are seeking a motivated Practicum Student eager to gain hands-on experience working with children and teens. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with our team to develop professional skills and contribute to real-world initiatives. Ideal candidates are proactive, quick learners, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service and going above and beyond clients' needs.

Students will gain practical work experience and receive a broad range of experiences including:

  • Practice clinical skills by working with clients in the community in offices.
  • Work collaboratively with other therapists and your clinical supervisor to create treatment plans with clients.
  • Learn and utilize the clinical documentation process, including progress notes, consultation notes, treatment plans, and diagnostic assessments.
  • Conduct assessments.
  • Understand compliance with billing and clinical documentation policies.
  • Benefit from individual and group supervision.
  • Attend ECG case consultation meetings.
  • Enjoy opportunities for internal educational seminars.
  • Participate in outreach activities.
