Job description

Job Title: Toolmaker
Duration: 12 Months
Work Location: 45 Griffin Road South Bloomfield, CT 06002
Work Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch.
Job Description:
• Fabricates various parts and all other extrusion components using open setup methods on manual lathes, surface grinder, manual and 3 axis milling machines, metal press brake, water jet, and wire EDM to provided prints.
• The ability to fabricate and assembly various components, tools and fixtures using different while observing operational shop guidelines established for the assembling area.
• Experience with AutoCAD and MasterCAM.
• Ability to use precision measurement instrument (micrometer, Vernier calipers, pin gages, and compare measurements to prints to ensure accuracy of quality tooling.
• Ability to read blueprints is a must. Strong knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is needed.
• Ability to work well under pressure, to handle multiple projects, and to meet deadlines is required
• Keep the workspace orderly. Participates in end of task / shift clean-up of tool room work areas. Comply with safety standards a must.
• Candidates must have effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
