Payroll Specialist

Location: NW Portland, OR (Onsite)
Salary: $62,000–$68,000

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team in NW Portland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with certified payroll experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely payroll.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly and/or biweekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with prevailing wage requirements
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Process payroll adjustments, deductions, garnishments, and benefit withholdings
  • Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
  • Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end processes
  • Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee and payroll data
  • Support audits and maintain payroll documentation
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Required: Certified payroll experience
  • Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements and payroll compliance
