Job description

Credentialing Specialist – Healthcare Licensing - Atlanta, GA Who: Seeking an experienced credentialing professional to manage end-to-end state license applications and renewals for healthcare providers. What: Responsible for collecting all necessary documentation, submitting applications, and ensuring compliance for physicians (Docs), physician assistants (PAs), nurse practitioners (NPs), and orthopedic physician assistants (OPAs). When: Hiring immediately. Where: Onsite in Chamblee, GA, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (one HR team member stays until 5:00 PM once a week). Remote may be considered for exceptional candidates. Why: This role owns the full credentialing process, ensuring providers are licensed and compliant with state regulations. Office Environment: Structured and detail-oriented, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high-volume credentialing independently. Salary: Up to $60K, no degree required. Position Overview: We are seeking a Credentialing Specialist to take full ownership of the state licensing and renewal process for physicians and advanced practice providers. Unlike other companies, we handle the entire application process on behalf of our providers, making attention to detail and process management critical in this role. Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end (E2E) licensing process for Docs, PAs, NPs, and OPAs. Collect and verify all required documentation, complete applications, and submit directly to state medical boards. Track license renewals and compliance for DEA, CAQH, and other required certifications. Ensure thorough knowledge of state medical boards, particularly in Georgia (GA), with a preference for Florida (FL) and South Carolina (SC); future expansion to Texas (TX). Maintain accurate records using Excel-based trackers (experience building and managing tracking systems is a plus). Familiarity with MedTrainer (MT) software is beneficial but not required. Work closely with HR and leadership to manage timelines and ensure no lapses in licensure. Qualifications: Proven experience managing the entire state licensing process for healthcare providers (not just insurance verification). Prior experience working with state medical boards, particularly GA (FL & SC are a plus, TX in the future). Notary Public and CPCS certification are a plus. Ability to work onsite in Chamblee, GA, 5 days a week (commute should be considered; remote possible for highly qualified candidates). Strong organizational skills, self-sufficient in managing the full credentialing process without relying on a team. Experience tracking credentialing workflows in Excel or other tracking systems (be prepared to discuss or showcase your tracker). If you’re interested in learning more about this opportunity or would like to discuss your qualifications, please apply now.
