Job Title: Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer
Location: Ottawa, ON
Note: Prior experience in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom is non-negotiable.

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer with a strong background in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments. The ideal candidate will drive cloud efficiency initiatives and improve cost visibility across enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud cost optimization strategies across BFSI, Public Sector, and Telecom environments.
  • Support cloud platforms serving banking systems, citizen services applications, OSS/BSS systems, billing systems, and telecom platforms.
  • Analyze cloud consumption patterns and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Implement rightsizing, reservation, and resource utilization strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to reduce cloud waste.
  • Support telecom infrastructure, customer platforms, and 5G environments.
  • Develop cloud cost dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
  • Improve financial accountability across cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and cloud financial management standards.
  • Support enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer within BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments.
  • Experience supporting banking systems, government applications, OSS/BSS platforms, billing systems, charging platforms, or telecom services.
  • Strong experience with cloud cost optimization methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
