The Area Capital Sales Director, Central is responsible for the leadership, strategy, and execution of capital sales initiatives within the defined geography, driving adoption and sustainable growth of PIO's integrated robotics and ablation platform. This role has full accountability for delivering strategic and tactical sales results, including capital sales, clinical adoption, and long-term utilization across Interventional Oncology (IO) and Interventional Radiology (IR) accounts. This individual will lead the development and execution of regional business plans, capital pipeline management, and account strategies, while mobilizing cross-functional resources including Marketing, Clinical, Strategic Accounts, Health Economics, and Operations to meet customer and market needs. Operating within a team-based selling model, the Area Capital Sales Director will coordinate "demand" and "access" resources to effectively penetrate IDNs and complex health systems. This role also includes building, developing, and leading high-performing teams; ensuring achievement of sales and financial objectives; and coaching team members to engage effectively with stakeholders at both the system and facility level. This position requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution to build market presence, shape adoption, and establish PIO as a long-term partner in a rapidly evolving and competitive landscape.
What You'll Do
As an Area Capital Sales Director, Central you will:
  • Capital Strategy, Market Development & Execution
  • Develop and execute a regional capital strategy to drive adoption and growth of PIO's platforms, managing a high-accuracy pipeline and leading complex ($500K+) sales cycles.
  • Leverage the dual robotics + ablation portfolio to tailor entry points and expand opportunities across IO and IR accounts.
    Drive Clinical Adoption & Utilization
  • Ensure successful clinical adoption and sustained utilization by partnering with physicians and aligning robotic and ablation technologies into practice.
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers to expand within existing accounts and convert new opportunities.
    Lead Within a Team-Based Selling Model
  • Operate as the "tip of the spear" in capital sales, orchestrating a cross-functional team of Territory Managers, Clinical Specialists, and Strategic Account Managers to drive deal success.
  • Partner closely with field leadership through joint calls and real-time coaching.
    Build & Lead High-Performance Teams
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing capital sales organization while building leadership bench strength and driving a culture of accountability and execution.
  • Coach teams to navigate complex health systems and deliver consistent results.
    KOL Development & Market Shaping
  • Build and leverage a network of Key Opinion Leaders to drive adoption, clinical validation, and market momentum.
  • Partner with early adopters to shape the future of IO and expand use cases.
    Executive Selling & Value-Based Positioning
  • Deliver compelling, ROI-driven business cases to C-suite stakeholders, positioning PIO as a strategic partner across the full procedural workflow.
  • Navigate reimbursement, health economics, and capital justification to advance deals.
    Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
  • Maintain deep expertise in the competitive landscape and evolving IO market, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Continuously refine positioning to reinforce PIO's differentiated value.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 8 to 10 years' experience in capital sales, marketing, professional education or sales learning and development is required
  • Demonstrated experience with robotics strongly preferred
  • Experience across at least two functional areas (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Professional Education, Sales Learning etc.) preferred
  • 4 - 6 years of people management experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capability including the ability to lead and manage through change and strong leadership behaviors
  • Track record of success working within a matrix organizational environment and enterprise mindset decision making
  • Excellent understanding of Customer, Business Intelligence and Industry trends
  • Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and project management along with documented sales achievement(s) are required
  • Strong Business & Financial Acumen in understanding the needs and priorities of the broader business with a penchant for understanding the use of metrics/numbers to gauge overall performance.
  • Demonstrated track record as a talent champion in coaching, developing, retention, acquiring and building a diverse pipeline of future talent
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills; including communicating, influence, and solution-oriented collaboration

Compensation:
  • Base: $180k
  • Variable: $180k
  • Total Comp: $360k
  • 700 dollar car stipend, gas/business expenses paid for
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: You will be eligible to participate in Quantum Surgical's Safe Harbor 401(k) plan, allowing pre-tax and Roth contributions. NeuWave Medical offers a company match for up to 5% of eligiblecompensation. Employer contributions vest immediately.
