Job description

Job Title: Representative-50/50 Raffle                                   

                                                               

Job Summary: The Kansas City Royals seek enthusiastic representatives and fund raisers for The Kansas City Royals Foundation, the charitable foundation of the Kansas City Royals. Representatives will offer raffle tickets for the Royals Foundation 50/50 Raffle during Royals home games. Ticket sellers will be stationed through the ballpark and must be comfortable approaching guests and selling to a crowd. Honesty, dependability, and enthusiasm will be required to excel in this position.

 

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate and deliver information regarding the Kansas City Royals Foundation to fans
  • Attend home games and sell raffle tickets to patrons in and around Kauffman Stadium
  • Follow all policies and procedures as set by the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Royals Foundation

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older by start date of employment
  • Experience handling credit cards in a sales role
  • A charismatic personality exuding a positive attitude that demonstrates approach-ability and friendliness
  • Enthusiastic and high energy personality
  • Team player attitude and desire to work hard to meet group fundraising goals
  • Ability to work 60-81 home games, including weekends, nights, and some holidays from March to October
  • Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs in an outdoor setting for 4-5+ hours at a time
  • Ability to work in outside elements including heat, rain, and cold
  • Ability to attend pre-season training sessions
  • Must have excellent credit card handling and customer service skills
  • Must be comfortable with technology
  • Must be comfortable approaching people and selling in front of crowds
  • Must understand the timing/pacing of baseball

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds
  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
