Job Title: High Solids Technician (Day Shift)

Location: Montrose, Pa.

Shift: Day Shift, 4x4 Schedule (4 days on, 4 days off)

Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented High Solids Technician to join our production team on a stable, rotating 4x4 day shift. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining specialized equipment used in solid-liquid separation and material handling. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with solids-control equipment, industrial pumps, and centrifuges, as well as proficiency in operating heavy material-handling equipment such as telehandlers, loaders, and skid steers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate and monitor solids control equipment, industrial pumps, and centrifuges to meet daily production and processing targets.
  • Heavy Machinery Handling: Safely operate telehandlers, front-end loaders, and skid steers to move, load, and stack bulk solids, waste material, and heavy equipment around the facility.
  • System Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on pumps and centrifuges.
  • Process Monitoring: Regularly check gauges, flow rates, and material output to ensure the separation process is running efficiently and within required specifications.
  • Material Handling: Manage the flow, transfer, and disposal of solid and liquid materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocolsโ€”including equipment pre-shift inspections, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelinesโ€”to maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical Experience: Minimum of 1โ€“2 years of experience working with solids control systems, industrial pumps, and centrifuges. (preferred)
  • Equipment Certification/Experience: Proven experience safely operating telehandlers, loaders, and skid steers in an industrial, agricultural, or construction setting (certifications are a plus).
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical reasoning and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on heavy industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions (noise, heat, dust).
