Job description

Position:ย Long-Term Substitute Teacher - 4th Grade Math and Science
Reports to:ย Harrison Elementary School Building Principal
Southwest Local School District is searching for a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for 4th Grade Math and Science at Harrison Elementary School from October - January.ย 
ย 



Salary Schedule:

  • $125 per day
  • Teacher contract for 60+ days

Teacher hired will be paid through HCESC's Aesop Substitute Teaching System. Candidate must also apply through www.Subsolutions.org.ย 
Responsibilities:ย 

  • Implement lesson plans, assess student learning, and adjust instruction as needed to support student success.
  • Maintain continuity of instruction, classroom routines, and expectations throughout the long-term assignment.
  • Create and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teachers, specialists, administrators, and support staff to ensure continuity of instruction and student support.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate with families and school staff as appropriate.
  • Working knowledge of Ohio Extended Standards is a plus.ย 

Qualification Profile:ย 

  • Passing Background and Fingerprint examination.

Additional Duties:ย 
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
