DESCRIPTION Provide academic instruction; review and update academic and doctrinal publications; and maintain equipment supported by academic instruction. Provide academic instruction to conduct classroom/laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with course material, POI, technical manuals, and student workbooks. Conduct student critiques in accordance with United States Army (USA) ODS Standard Operating Procedures. Between scheduled courses, the following tasks will be completed: making pen and ink changes to lesson plans, cross-training (attending classes), arranging and engaging in instructional preparation and testing material, reviewing and providing pen and ink changes to lesson plans to the Government for change considerations, serving as an Assistant Instructor in classes. Provide feedback at the end of the block of instruction. Assist in updating technical content of lesson material in accordance with this PWS. Participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans and Training Support Packages (TSPs). Provide remediation training, maintain classrooms by re-configuring/setting up classroom furnishings, sort and maintain training aides and equipment, stock training materials and equipment, and/or assist with outdoor training site maintenance.REQUIREMENTSGraduate Automated Test Systems Operator/Maintainer Course (94Y or 45K MOS) or have experience as an Automated Test Systems Operator/MaintainerMinimum of three (3) years specific experience in teaching, development or reviewing course materials, training aids, and manuals for vocational or military training programs. Skills sets required to instruct in the Basic Electronics Maintenance Training (BEMT) such as Theory, Application, and Troubleshooting of: Direct and Alternating Current Circuits, Transistors and Solid-State Devices, Computer Technology, Digital Circuits, and Microprocessors. Familiar with Army publications including regulations, DA Pamphlets, and Standing Operating Procedures.as well as appropriate DOD regulations/guidanceAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAgility and dexterity, long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and inclement weather conditions on occasionProficient with MS office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, ExcelKnowledgeable of applicable regulations and doctrine regarding MOS- specific trainingWritten and verbal communication skillsInstructional skills and technical proficiency in the subject(s) assignedKnowledge and performance-based tests to score a 90% or better, Army Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFDIC) within the last five (5) years Installation Staff and Contractors Training Course (ISCTC) Blackboard
