Job description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Cartersville, GA
Company: FernWild ABA, a Finni Health company
Job Type: Part-time & Full-time options available
Location: In-person - Cartersville, GA
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
FernWild is a small behavior-analysis practice serving families across Northwest Georgia. We work in homes, which means the conditions of the work are the conditions of ordinary life. Kitchens, living rooms, bedtime routines, morning transitions. Our clinicians walk into real houses and help families make small, durable changes.
We are not a high-volume practice. We do not chase caseload numbers, and we do not ask our staff to. We expect careful observation, clear notes, and steady follow-through. The work is quieter than it looks from the outside.
Who we are looking for
Candidates should be comfortable in family homes, patient with the uneven pace of real progress, and willing to communicate plainly with parents who are doing their best under ordinary conditions.
  • Keep organized notes and meet documentation deadlines without prompting
  • Speak clearly with parents about what is working and what is not
  • Accept supervision and feedback as part of the craft rather than a formality
  • Understand that a child's environment shapes outcomes as much as any plan on paper
  • Can sit with slow progress without reaching for dramatic intervention
What we offer
  • Competitive pay, set against Georgia Medicaid and commercial rates rather than guessed at
  • Reasonable caseloads that protect the quality of the work
  • Clinical supervision from a BCBA who reads what you write and answers when you ask
  • Mileage reimbursement for in-home travel
  • Paid time for documentation and care coordination, not just billable hours
  • A working environment that expects competence and returns respect

Qualifications
  • Current RBT Certification (required)
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs (preferred)
  • Experience with data collection and familiarity with ABA terminology (preferred)
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices (required)
  • Experience with behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques (preferred)
  • A background in special education, psychology, or a related field (beneficial)

What We Offer
  • Supervision toward BCBA/BCaBA certification
  • Career growth opportunities within a supportive organization
  • Ongoing training and supervision by experienced BCBAs
  • Company-provided iPad

Background Check
All candidates must pass a background check. Employment offers are contingent upon successful screening results to ensure the safety of the children and families we serve.
