Must have 10+ years of experience in a Food/Beverage manufacturing environment with 5+ years of supervisory experience leadership skills and the ability to manage a staff of 30+ employees.Location: White, GA 30184Direct Hire with Excellent Benefit Package: Medical / Dental / Vision / Life Insurance, 401K with matching, Paid Holiday & PTOCompensation: $75K/yr (Exempt)Shift Hours: 1st shift: 8:00am 5:00pm (includes 1-hour unpaid lunch time), Monday - SaturdayRequirements of the Factory Bottle Making Supervisor:High school diploma or GED.5+ years of supervisory experience. Must have strong and effective leadership skills, and the ability to successfully manage a staff of 30+ employees.10+ years of experience in a Food or Beverage manufacturing environment.Operation techniques and knowledge of molding machinery for making containers of food products.Experience in training, handling people, and resolving conflicts.Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.Have the ability to work independently with little supervision and be part of a team as well.Be available to work any hours assigned, 5 days or more per week, Monday- Saturday, including early mornings and late nights.Proficient and working knowledge of MS Office and other appropriate softwareAble to lift up to 60 pounds.Responsibilities of the Factory Bottle Making Supervisor:The Factory Bottle Making Supervisor needs operation techniques and knowledge of molding machinery for making containers of food products. The supervisor oversees the general day-to-day bottle making operation by providing leadership and guidance to all hourly factory employees, as well as reporting on issues to the factory production manager.Supervise 30+ employees to ensure security, safety, specs, quality assurance of products, sanitation, HACCP, SQF and FDA regulations are followed.Schedule shifts for all line employees.Orient new employees and conduct training for department-related activities.Counsel and praise employees on corrections and positive contributions and listen to and help to resolve complaints.Work closely with the Production Manager and Factory Manager and act as a liaison between them and line employees.Follow daily production schedules and notify the Factory Manager and Production Manager if shortages occur.Create and maintain a safe and positive work environment.Make daily production schedule based on shipping schedule created by logistics.Control inventory for finished product in cooler, raw & sub materials in warehouse.Conduct monthly inventory for all materials and finish goods in warehouse.Review Batch Ticket entry and close.Ensure compliance with all Production and Safety regulations.Maintain high sanitary standards as required by the food and beverage manufacturing industry and be prepared for third-party audits and regulatory inspections at all times.Confirm accuracy of time sheets and Leave of Absence requests for Bottle making departments to ensure labor law compliance and provide accurate data for payroll calculation.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development support for machine operators.Notify maintenance and follow up with work orders on necessary repairs or process improvements to the production line.Regularly inspect the production area and ensure equipment and personnel are working in a safe, efficient manner.Enforce all company rules, policies, and procedures, and provide disciplinary action when necessary.Immediately investigate all types of accidents, such as Workers Comp and property damage, and report to the Production Manager and Human Resources.Maintain high sanitation and workplace safety standards in compliance with SQF, HACCP, FDA requirements and OSHA regulations to ensure readiness for third-party audits and regulatory inspections.Perform other duties as assigned.Perform Food Safety Duties:Verification of CCPs and food safety system recordsVerification of Sanitation OperationsPreventative Maintenance assignment, follow-up, and analysis.Perform pre-operational inspections and take actions when applicable.Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety policies and procedures.Provide feedback on continuous improvement opportunities.Records review. Ensure that records are legible, clear, concise, and accurate.Report to Management any of the following: pest activity, food defense or food fraud suspicious activities, evidence of product contamination.Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to meet food safety requirements and gather documentation. Evaluate and supplier?s performance and food safety incident.Perform mock recalls.Train employees on food safety and on-the-job training. Ensure training is effective through competencies evaluation (observation, group verbal questions, written).Participate in monthly food safety meetings and food safety plan building, changes, and/or verification.Follow-up on action plans resulting from food safety initiatives such as pre-Operational inspections, internal/external audits, Critical Control Points, and Preventative Control deviations.
