Our diverse portfolio of assets is owned by ArcLight Capital Partners, a leading middle-market, value-added infrastructure investment firm that owns assets across the power, renewables, strategic gas, battery storage, and transformative infrastructure sectors. ArcLight has invested over $28 billion in equity capital across 125 transactions totaling approximately $80 billion in enterprise value.

This highly experienced senior management team has a proven track record of strategic, operational, and commercial success and is focused on value creation while managing risk.

AlphaGen oversees one of the largest domestic, independent power portfolios, with nearly $2 billion in annual revenue.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Outages and Major Maintenance, the Fleet Outage Manager will oversee a diverse fleet of gas turbine-generators, steam turbine-generators, and supporting ancillary equipment. This professional supports operations across 23 generating facilities totaling 14 GW nationwide.

Role and Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion safety by ensuring equipment condition and operation meet industry and company standards.
  • Provide technical leadership for planned major maintenance and forced outages.
  • Hands on participation in fleet-wide outage management processes, ensuring best practices in scope, schedule, and cost control.
  • Develop and oversee detailed outage plans, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure OEMs adhere to Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) requirements.
  • Make informed technical decisions regarding equipment condition, including remediation strategies for non-conforming components.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and develop mitigation plans for turbine-generator deficiencies.
  • Full-time onsite supervision of repairs and inspections during scheduled and unscheduled outages. Candidate is expected to be onsite for designated major maintenance outages seasonally, or unplanned outage should one occur.
  • Ensure successful project execution across safety, quality, budget, and schedule metrics.
  • Oversee the selection, contracting, and performance of third-party vendors and contractors supporting Major Maintenance outages.
  • Maintain strong vendor and contractor relationships and stay current on industry advancements.
  • Support construction, equipment testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Provide regular updates to all stakeholders.

  • Deep understanding of gas and steam turbine systems, generators, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Expertise in at least one of the main OEM technologies (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.) and major maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with failure modes, materials, and systems in power plants, oil & gas, or marine propulsion.
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, IEEE, OSHA).
  • Proficiency with project management tools like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Previous field experience (e.g., TFA, FE, commissioning technician) across diverse regions in North America.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities under time constraints.
  • Exceptional project and process management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership acumen.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical depth, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills to manage outages and related processes in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
