Job Summary


At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered. 
Responsible for managing all aspects of Hope Creek and Salem system, component, forced and refueling outages. Involves planning, preparation, execution, staff/management consultation and schedule development. Responsible for monitoring and coordinating pre-outage milestones and action items, budget and scope development and control, self-assessment, performance monitoring, improvement initiatives and outage risk assessment for successful outages at PSEG Nuclear LLC.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed assessments and improvement initiatives on all aspects of Salem and Hope Creek's Maintenance and Refueling plan/forced Outages.
  • This includes outage management preparations, resource Management, schedule development, Budgeting, Outage execution and Performance Monitoring.
  • Develop an outage execution process to provide increased focus on meeting outage commitments including the development of outage personnel, reformatting of outage meetings, and heightened awareness on the advantages and uses of various scheduling tools.
  • Provide daily mentoring to the Shift Outage Manager and Crews. Interface with Senior Management, Co-owners and Stockholders to develop a long-range outage work scope.
  • Work with other departments to facilitate outage preparation, i.e., maintenance, operations, engineering to achieve safe, efficient, cost effective outages resulting in safe, reliable plant operation.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Engineering with 5 years experience in the nuclear or related industry focused on Plant Outages. In lieu of degree must have 8 years experience in the nuclear or related industry focused on Plant Outages or 10 years combined experience in Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering.
  • 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must meet nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.
  • A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation (https://www.pseg.com/IDrequirement) is required for this job.

Desired

  • Turbine OEM (Siemens GE) Field Engineering experience or equivalent.
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree.
