Machine Operator (3rd Shift)
Job Description Summary
Dauch is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator for our 3rd shift operation at our GKN Bowling Green facility. This role involves operating and monitoring machinery to produce high-quality driveline components, ensuring production efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
Job Description:
  • Operate various production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Load and unload materials and parts from machines.
  • Monitor machine operation, identify and report any malfunctions or irregularities.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to production processes for increased efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills and Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Ability to work consistently on a 3rd shift schedule (typically 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM or similar).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
