Position Summary
The AV-4 Saw Operator is responsible for operating an AV-4 cutting saw to accurately cut foam and related materials according to production specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read measurements and work instructions, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate an AV-4 saw to cut foam materials to specified dimensions and production requirements.
  • Read and follow work orders, measurements, drawings, and production instructions.
  • Accurately measure, mark, and position materials prior to cutting.
  • Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure dimensions and cuts meet specifications.
  • Make routine machine adjustments to maintain accurate and consistent cuts.
  • Load, position, and safely handle foam materials during the cutting process.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform basic machine cleaning and routine operator maintenance.
  • Identify material or machine issues and report problems to the supervisor.
  • Maintain production pace while prioritizing accuracy and minimizing material waste.
  • Work closely with other production team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating saws, cutting equipment, or production machinery preferred.
