Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Reports To: Operations Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Maintenance

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient upkeep of buildings, machinery, and property. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and assisting in repairs to maintain operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform routine and minor building maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical work.

· Troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, identify root causes, and perform necessary repairs.

· Assemble and fit parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and equipment.

· Maintain industrial dies, tools, and equipment in optimal working condition.

· Ensure safe walkways during winter months by shoveling snow and applying salt as needed.

· Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.

· Inspect, observe, and listen to equipment during operation to detect malfunctions and determine required adjustments or repairs.

· Follow all company policies and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

· Communicate maintenance issues promptly to the supervisor and collaborate with team members to resolve problems effectively.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Ability to read and interpret work instructions and safety guidelines

· Effective organizational and time management skills

· Basic project management capabilities

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor tasks

Education & Experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· Previous maintenance or related experience preferred
