Job description

Thermal Specialties is urgently hiring a Furnace Operator to join our Heat Treat Division in Tulsa, OK. This is a hands-on manufacturing role for someone who enjoys working with metal, following precise processes, and being part of a team that delivers quality results to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor furnace processes to ensure required time, temperature, and atmosphere specifications
  • Load, fixture, and process materials according to production schedules
  • Complete accurate documentation on shop orders and furnace charts
  • Minimize downtime and gaps between furnace loads
  • Monitor furnace equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area


Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and a physically demanding environment
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Preferred

  • Experience with industrial furnaces or heat-treat operations
  • Mechanical or maintenance experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or metalworking


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in extreme high/low temperatures and a physically demanding environment
  • Frequently required to stand for long periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Days Worked:

  • Currently Monday thru Friday
  • Nights shift: (shift differentational pay rate)
    • 2nd shift: 3-11:30pm
    • 3rd shift: 11:00pm- 7am
    • Training: 7:30am training may be on Day shift only.
