Job description

Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for Electronics Lab Technician opportunities in Palo Alto CA 94304. This is an excellent opportunity to join an American electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer and automotive technology company founded in 2009. The company designs, develops, manufactures, and sells EVs and accessories. Responsibilities for Electronics Lab Technician include but are not limited to:

· Perform SMT component rework, soldering, de-soldering, and PCBA modifications to IPC Class 3 standards.

· Build and fabricate wire harnesses per IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.

· Assemble ECU modules, prototype hardware, test fixtures, and test boxes.

· Conduct power, thermal, functional, and circuit-level testing of electronic assemblies.

· Flash firmware/software onto ECUs and development hardware.

· Execute test scripts, collect data, and document results.

· Troubleshoot hardware failures and perform root cause analysis.

· Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and datasheets.

· Document test procedures, findings, and engineering updates.

· Communicate test status, issues, and results to engineers and lab management.

· Support lab equipment maintenance, inventory, calibration tracking, and continuous improvement activities.

Candidates for Electronics Lab Technician must meet the following requirements to be considered:

· High school diploma or GED.

· 3+ years of electronics lab or engineering technician experience.

· Strong SMT rework, soldering, and PCB/PCBA modification skills.

· Experience soldering fine-pitch ICs and 0402 components to IPC standards.

· Wire harness fabrication experience.

· Mechanical assembly experience using engineering drawings and hand/power tools.

· Experience with power and thermal testing of electronic hardware.

· Firmware/hardware flashing and command-line script execution experience.

· Proficient with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.

· Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and component datasheets.

· Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

· Technician degree or equivalent hands-on experience.

· Proficiency with MS Office applications.

· Preferred: EV, CAN, Python, high-voltage testing, Jira, and IPC/J-STD certifications.
