Job description

Position Overview:

Wisconsin Brewing Company LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Packaging Operator to join our production team. This role is important to ensuring that our high-quality products are efficiently packaged and meet our standards. The Packaging Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the canning line machinery, monitoring the production process, and ensuring that our products are packaged correctly and safely.

Reports To: 

Third shift supervisor, and packaging manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain canning line machinery, including setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and work area.
  • Adhere to safety and quality control standards throughout the packaging process.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Record and report production data, including any issues or downtime.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed within the production area.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of canning or packaging machinery and processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Education and Training:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in beverage or food packaging, is preferred.

On-the-job training will be provided for specific machinery and processes.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Standing and moving 8 to 10 hours a day 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds 
  • Ability to move 25 pounds continuously through a whole shift 
  • Climbing, crawling, and working in tight areas 
  • Able to work in hot, cold, loud, and wet environments
