Quality Control Manager – Semiconductor Construction

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the project-wide QA/QC program for a large greenfield semiconductor facility. This individual will provide leadership across all construction disciplines while coordinating third-party QA inspection vendors supporting CSA, MEP, UHP piping, electrical, and cleanroom systems.

This role will serve as the central point of integration between subcontractors, third-party inspection firms, owner QA teams, commissioning teams, and project leadership to ensure quality execution meets contract requirements, code compliance, and the precision standards required for semiconductor manufacturing facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall QA/QC program from base build through tool install and system turnover
  • Manage third-party QA inspection vendors across CSA, MEP, UHP piping, electrical, and cleanroom disciplines
  • Develop and maintain Quality Control Plans, procedures, ITPs, ITRs, and turnover documentation
  • Coordinate welding QA programs including WPS/PQR review, welder qualifications, weld maps, and NDT activities
  • Manage submittals, material traceability, mill certifications, NCRs, and corrective actions
  • Support cleanroom qualification activities including ISO 14644 testing, pressure mapping, particle counts, and T&B verification
  • Oversee pressure testing, flushing, passivation, and cleanliness verification for process piping systems
  • Coordinate with AHJs, owner QA teams, commissioning authorities, and special inspectors
  • Lead quality meetings, pre-installation meetings, and first-article inspections
  • Report QA/QC KPIs, trends, and program updates to project leadership
  • Train field teams and subcontractors on quality procedures and project expectations


Requirements:

  • 10+ years of QA/QC experience in construction environments
  • Previous QA/QC leadership experience on semiconductor, cleanroom, or advanced technology projects
  • Experience managing multiple third-party inspection vendors on large industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of CSA, MEP, electrical, UHP piping, and cleanroom systems
  • Working knowledge of:
    • ASME B31.3
    • ASME Section IX
    • AWS D1.1
    • ASTM standards
    • ASNT NDT methods
    • ISO 14644 cleanroom standards
  • Experience supporting welding QA, orbital welding, and ultra-pure process systems preferred
  • Strong turnover package and documentation management experience
  • Familiarity with Procore Quality, InEight, or equivalent QA/QC software platforms
  • OSHA 30 required
