What you’ll do

As a Power Engineer 3rd class, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape. 
Your day-to-day:

  • Operate and maintain steam boiler, and other utility equipment in accordance with MB Safety Authority regulations.
  • Prepare and monitor starch batches used in the manufacturing process, ensuring proper consistency, quality, and supply for production needs.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues within the steam plant.
  • Monitor and record system readings, maintain logbooks, and report any abnormalities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
  • Support other maintenance tasks and participate in plant shutdowns and startups.
  • Collaborate with the production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

  • A valid 3rd Class Power Engineer Certificate MB is required for this position.
