Manage and execute projects to meet the organizational objectives, ensuring all projects meet technical specifications and deadlines.**DIMENSIONS:**Provide effective project execution and cost control of assigned projects.Manage a number of assigned projects simultaneously and commensurate with the level of this position.Contribute to the long-term capital plan for the site. **PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:*** Perform all work in a safe manner in accordance with site and corporate EHS policies.* Support the development of capital projects and the necessary sanction documents (including cost estimates) and aid in ushering capital projects from concept through closure.* Develop and manage projects using the New Project Excellence guidelines and local procedures.* Ensure projects meet the agreed objectives and are delivered within budget, on schedule, and of acceptable quality to the stakeholders and customers.* Make an effective hand-off of projects to operations and maintenance considering training, process safety, and equipment reliability.* Contributes to the development and management of procedures, documents, and tools needed to perform duties as a Project Engineer.* Assist in the training and coaching of other site personnel in the key components and activities of project management excellence. **KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:*** Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering.* 8-15 years of experience in a manufacturing plant.* Experience managing multiple capital/maintenance projects with a total value of up to $10MM.* Experience managing Engineering and Construction companies in project scope, schedule, and construction phases of project development and execution.* Experience evaluating competing engineering proposals in terms of technology, cost, and schedule.* General knowledge of mechanical, civil, and electrical codes and standards.The salary for this position is $151,000.00.
