smartdept. is searching for a Mid-Level 3D Visualization Designer for a product design client located remotely. The ideal candidate will come with 3+ years of experience. This is a project-based, fully remote, ongoing contract opportunity with the potential to fluctuate up or down depending on project needs.
This is a great opportunity for a versatile creative who moves comfortably between concept development, 3D rendering, compositing, and production. The ideal candidate has a background in print and/or visual design, strong conceptual instincts, and the ability to take a creative brief and turn it into compelling visual concepts. You'll be given a brief, source the appropriate assets, and develop multiple creative directions (typically three concepts per assignment) while balancing creative thinking with strong production execution.
What You'll Do:
Interpret creative briefs and translate them into strong visual concepts
Develop approximately three concepts/directions per assignment
Create and manipulate 3D assets and rendered imagery
Composite 3D elements into polished final visuals
Source, prepare, and work with existing visual assets
Bring conceptual ideas to life while maintaining production accuracy
Prepare artwork for print and other production applications
Collaborate with creative teams to refine concepts and execute final work
Work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple assignments as priorities shift
What You'll Need:
Education/Experience:
Mid-level experience in 3D design, compositing, visualization, or a related creative discipline
Experience with 3D rendering and compositing
A solid print/production background
Ability to take a brief from concept through execution
Strong eye for composition, detail, scale, lighting, and visual quality
