Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and prior Level 1 Trauma experience.

Details
  • CT Scan department in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
  • 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday-Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Includes holiday rotation
  • No on-call requirement
  • Floating within scope to sister facilities as needed
  • Caseload varies per shift and location
  • Uses Siemens CT equipment, PACS, and Sectra
  • Epic charting system used
Requirements
  • 1 year of CT experience preferred, minimum 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (CT) certifications required
  • SC state license required (in hand at time of start); license required if applicable
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Experience with PIV starts and Siemens CT equipment required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Skills in 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement preferred
  • Experience with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT studies
  • Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
  • Driver's license and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Perform CT imaging across adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department settings
  • Duties may include vascular CTA, coronary CTA, brain perfusion, biopsies, and drainage procedures
  • Attendance at all staff meetings required
  • Teal top and black bottom scrub color required
  • During hurricane season (June-November), travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams
  • First-time travelers accepted if they have relevant prior experience
  • Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates considered case-by-case at a reduced rate
  • All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for manager approval
  • One-time $20 parking pass fee applies for nights and weekends
