Description

American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality CT/X-Ray Technologist for a night shift Emergency/Urgent Care position requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (CT)(R) certification.

Details
  • Work in an acute care hospital Emergency Department and Urgent Care setting
  • Multimodality role covering CT and X-Ray, with potential to assist with other operational duties within the ED/UC
  • 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Friday-Sunday
  • Weekend shifts required based on established schedule
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required between units or sister facilities
  • Epic EMR used for charting
  • Siemens CT equipment utilized
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required
  • Current BLS and ARRT (CT)(R) certification required
  • SCRQSA (CT)(R) certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Radiation badge required and must be provided by the traveler/agency
  • Skills required include image display and post-processing, abdomen/pelvis CT, head/neck CT, spine/musculoskeletal CT, and chest CT studies
  • Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required
  • Experience with adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department settings required
  • First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
  • Perform CT and X-Ray imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT with and without contrast
  • Utilize 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement techniques
  • Black and teal scrubs required
  • Free parking provided with pass distributed at start date
  • During hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
  • Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local
  • Non-local candidates are prioritized for this position
  • Previous MUSC perm staff or PRN employees must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
