What is 3D radiology?

3D radiology refers to advanced imaging techniques that create three-dimensional representations of the body's internal structures. These images are generated from traditional scans, like CT or MRI, and provide detailed, volumetric views that help doctors diagnose and plan treatments more effectively. 3D radiology is commonly used for surgical planning, cancer assessment, and dental imaging. By visualizing anatomy in three dimensions, healthcare providers can gain deeper insights and improve patient outcomes.

To thrive as a 3D Radiology Technologist, you need a solid background in radiologic technology, anatomy, and imaging protocols, typically supported by an associate’s or bachelor’s degree and ARRT certification.
