Job description

  Multi Modality Radiology Technologist (Days) – Central Michigan Region Overview

A community focused healthcare facility in the Central Michigan region is seeking a Multi Modality Radiology Technologist to perform both CT and X ray imaging in a fast paced hospital environment. This role blends advanced technical skill with patient centered care, supporting inpatient, outpatient, ED, and surgical imaging needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT and general radiography exams independently, ensuring high quality diagnostic images through proper positioning, technical factors, and QA standards.

  • Operate CT scanners, power injectors, post processing equipment, and radiography units.

  • Adjust imaging protocols based on patient needs and clinical indications.

  • Prepare, position, and educate patients for all procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.

  • Obtain and document thorough patient histories; verify orders and informed consent.

  • Apply ALARA principles and follow all radiation safety guidelines.

  • Perform venipuncture and manage IV access for contrast administration.

  • Assist radiologists during specialized or invasive procedures as needed.

  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Provide occasional coverage after hours, weekends, or holidays depending on department needs.

Schedule
  • Full time, Days

  • May include limited off shift or call support depending on department needs.

Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

  • ARRT (R) required; Advanced CT registry required (or eligible)

  • Minimum 2 years of full time experience in both CT and X ray in a hospital/ED setting preferred

  • Michigan state license required (or willing to obtain)

  • BLS required

  • Strong ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
